"Nagai Sake's sake brewing was started by the first owner, Shoji Nagai, in 1886 in the Tone District Kawaba Village of Gunma Prefecture, facing the Mount Hotaka. This land is blessed with fine natural water from the rain and snow falling on Mount Hotaka filtered by the earth of Oze, and this "water" is indispensable for the sake brewing of Nagai Sake. In order to protect the "loved water", they have purchased little by little the surrounding forests where this water can be drawn, and have been doing their best to protect the blessings of nature for a long time. Sake making is only made possible by this land and its blessings - which has supported Nagai Sake.

As a result, its main brand "Mizubasho" was born in 1992, leading to a new lineage of Nagai Sake.
